We have a great culture in NZ for hot rods/performance cars etc. Only have to go to the many hard parks/ shows happening around the county to see the immaculately presented cars, but we also see many vehicles under construction. When your vehicle is going through restoration it won’t always be in your possession as it will often be in the care of tradespeople, therefore you should have in place your own insurance cover as restorers are a mixed bunch often working out of home based workshops which will never cover you under their household policy.

Updates:

These are important and very common when restoring a vehicle as a lot of money gets pumped into the project as time goes by and the vehicle starts to takes shape, we keep in touch and adjust when required.

Modified Vehicles:

A certification is paramount, if you have no certification plate on the vehicle and the insurer is not notified, your insurance may be declined.
